Inclusive Employment: REES’s Collaborative Approach with Employers

Reaching E-Quality Employment Services (REES) is dedicated to fostering inclusive workplaces that embrace diversity and provide equal opportunities for all individuals, including those with disabilities or health conditions. One of the key ways we achieve this is through our collaborative approach with employers who share our commitment to inclusive hiring practices.

At REES, we understand the importance of working closely with employers to create tailored accommodations and foster diverse and accessible work environments. Through our partnerships with employers, we aim to not only provide them with skilled workers but also support them in creating inclusive workplace cultures.

One of the ways we support employers is by assisting them in hiring qualified individuals with physical disabilities and/or health conditions through our REES Hiring Incentive Project (RHIP). This project provides employers with up to 80 hours of on-the-job training and assessment for potential employees. By participating in RHIP, employers not only benefit from access to a pool of talented individuals but also contribute to creating inclusive work environments.

Another way we collaborate with employers is through our REES Internship Training Program (RINT). RINT connects persons with physical disabilities and/or health conditions with employers for an opportunity to secure employment through a Targeted Wage Subsidy. We provide employers with pre-screened, ready-to-work participants for a maximum of 12 weeks. The goal of RINT is to facilitate the movement of participants into continued paid employment following the successful completion of the Targeted Wage Subsidy.

Additionally, the REES Co-op Project (RCP) helps individuals with physical disabilities and/or health conditions kick-start their employment using a wage-subsidy or paid internship for up to 6 months. Participants receive internship wages for a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. The program aims to match job seekers with subsidized employment opportunities that will generate financial sustainable independence.

Through these initiatives, REES aims to create a more inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the workplace. By working collaboratively with employers, we can create diverse and accessible work environments that benefit both employees and employers alike. Together, we can build a more inclusive workforce and society for all.
