Mission, Vision, and Values
During the most recent Strategic Planning Session in 2011, we (REES Staff and Board of Directors) revised and updated the
Mission, Vision and Values of Reaching E-Quality Employment Services.
Mission:
To promote, facilitate and maintain the employment of people with disabilities or health conditions by providing diverse and customized employment, training and consultation services.
Vision:
REES continues to be recognized as the premiere innovative and progressive employment service for people with disabilities and employers in the community.
Values: We believe
• That people with disabilities have the capacity to engage, sustain and advance in meaningful work.
• That people with disabilities have the right to make decisions and take action to improve the quality of their lives.
• In the inherent right of people with disabilities to be represented equally in the labour force, and to be accommodated respectfully.
• In educating others about equitable and respectful (workplace) practices that contribute to the independence and equality of people with disabilities.
• That cooperation and collaboration with other groups committed to working towards REES’ goals and objectives are essential.
• We must embrace new challenges by identifying needs and creating innovative solutions.
• That our membership must represent a diverse population as it relates to our consumers, partners, employers and volunteers.
• Our services must equally value the needs and perspectives of both people with disabilities and employers in the community.
