1989
- June 1, 1989 Amalgamation of Reaching Out Employment and E-Quality
Employment to form Reaching E-Quality Employment Services.
- REES was located at 294 Portage Ave.
- Debbie Bean was appointed the first Executive Director of REES
1990
- Deaf Services Department was established
- The first REES Annual General Meeting
1991
- REES became computerized
1994
- 2 year strategic plan was established
1996
- 1st REES Hiring Incentive Project (RHIP)
- Sunshine Salute fundraising dinner
1998
- 1st REES Internship Project (RINT)
- 1st REES Youth Employment Project (YEP)
1999
- REES contributes to WorkInk, a virtual employment resource for job seekers
2000
- Townhall meeting to discuss fee-for-service options for REES
2001
- “Evening of Fine and ART” at Norwood Hotel
2002
- REES moves to 1200 Portage Ave.
- Teresa Andreychuk appointed Executive Director
- Wall of Diversity/Puzzle Wall unveiled. (Developed by Val Whettell as a Donor
Recognition Wall for REES.)
2003
- Increased Public Relations/Fundraising focus
- Disability Management project for small employers
- 1st ARTcetera fundraising auction
- REES won the inaugural MECCA Award
2004
- REES presented the Inaugural President’s Award from the Manitoba Business
Leadership Network
2005
- United Way Special Project Funding
- Partnership with Manitoba WorkInfoNet to host new disability website
2007
- Inga Johnson Mychasiw appointed Acting Executive Director
2008
- First REES Awards – Celebrating the Stars Event
- First Open House and Donor Recognition Event
- REES recognizedby Breakfast Television as a City Hero
2009
- REES 20th Anniversary Celebrations
- REES Awards, Celebrating the Stars 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner
- REES AGM and 20th Birthday Party
